Lacrosse Camp Overview

Attending a lacrosse camp can be a fun way to improve play. Good camps provide great instruction on the fundamentals, provided plenty possessions for each player, and have lots of game time.

Think 10:1 when deciding:

In a camp environment the coordinators should factor in the importance of repetition. Coaches refer to this as touches and implement by using drills where the players wait in small lines of 3-5 players. A practice, clinic, or camp environment that increases touches and has small line drills requires lot’s of coaches, or camp instructors. It is important to ask the ratio of coaches to players before signing up. 1:10 is great and 1:5 is excellent. Above 1:10 you should have pause.
