Referees Wanted

Referees Volunteers and Commitment is critical to the success of Charleston Lacrosse

At all levels of the game, South Carolina leagues experience shortages in referees. The best thing we can do is convince parents, friends, players, and coaches to become referees. Please share this information any chance that you can get. It can be fun and the money is not all that bad. Parents that volunteer for Cusabo are allowed to donate their ref income to Cusabo. League Opportunities:

Boys – High School Varsity,  JV

The SCLOA, or South Carolina Lacrosse Officials Association, conducts training and certifications for High School and JV refereeing. Typically the training is conducted in January and is conducted after attendees have taken an online course. The SCLOA assigns refs to all High School games through Arbitor. Teams must be league approved by the SCHSA, SCISA, or SCILL to compete. To Learn more about certification dates and other important information please inquire at the SCLOA.org/ website.

Girls – High School Varsity,  JV, & Recreation Leagues

Currently, the Girl’s game assignor is Sue Gale. As the Head assigner Sue manages the entire girls game process from youth through High School. To learn more about her organization’s process please inquire by contacting Sue Gale below.
